About the moderator: Bellamy is the co-founder and creative director of Afroitalian Souls. Her areas of expertise are in enterprise communication and as a project coordinator in international cooperation.

Afroitalian Souls is a digital platform that aims to be an open window into the reality of Italians of African descent. We are a collective of authors and creatives that develop editorial content and visual projects to promote the excellence of the African diaspora in Italy while simultaneously bringing awareness to the cultural, social and racial issues we face. We believe that it is necessary to change the narrative about people from the African diaspora to contrast the misinformation and the mainstream exploitation which for decades have negatively influenced the perception that Italian society has had of Black people. We value and support the work, voices and experiences of Black Italians, and our ultimate goal is not limited to representation: through our work we are able to encourage debates, shape discussions, create more inclusive and fair perspectives, and dismantle stereotypes.
