Afro Fashion Week Milano F/W 2023
Closing out the F/W 2023 Afro Fashion Week, Mimine AG returns to Milan’s catwalk for a second edition. The London-based luxury label founded by Mimine Agbantou specializes in luxurious size-inclusive ready-to-wear and couture. This collection is entitled “The Last Walk to the River,” raising awareness and funds to build wells in rural areas in the Benin Republic.

The Last Walk to the River
This season, Mimine AG is bringing awareness to the lack of clean water that affects communities, primarily women and young girls, in some parts of the world. Having to walk many kilometres to find clean water for daily needs is the reality for many women and children living in underdeveloped rural areas.
Via this collection entitled “The Last Walk to the River,” the brand gives homage to these unbreakable women and seeks to raise funds to build wells in rural areas in the Benin Republic. Mimine AG has pledged 5% of all sales to the charity “Hirondelle de l’avenir” toward creating as many wells as possible. They have already built 25 wells to date, helping Beninese communities and promoting women and girls’ growth.
