Virgil was a great mentor to me, and to many BIPOC creatives. He supported us when we started the project WAMI (We Are Made in Italy), and we were working on launching a capsule collection of T-shirts to support our organization. I have often thought back to three words he once said to me: I see you. How often have those three words given me the energy to carry on even in the most trying of times.
To the man and mentor who taught so many how to see. Your legacy lives on.
