About our work

6

Since 2015, Afro Fashion Association has actively connected Italy and Sub-Saharan Africa, driving market access and empowering emerging African and BIPOC creatives. Our non-profit leverages fashion, art, and culture as tools to foster intercultural exchange and sustainable economic development. We work simultaneously on multiple fronts: we build and leverage international platforms to amplify emerging talents, and we strengthen arts and culture sectors locally, providing support to women-led micro-enterprises and providing training and professional opportunities to students and youth. International recognized for our Afro Fashion Week, now in its 19th edition, we are also entrusted by leading global fashion brands to drive DEI initiatives, using art as a catalyst for sustainable social and economic growth.

The Unseen Profiles

6

With a database of over 3000 creatives, the Unseen Profiles is a groundbreaking project that connects talented professionals of color in Italy with rewarding careers across industries, including fashion, sports, engineering, design, and more.

Workplace composition is a key element affecting a company’s ability to reach its audience and deliver quality and culturally conscious products and services. The Unseen Profiles commits to reduce the mismatch between companies and skilled professionals of diverse backgrounds by mapping, engaging and mobilizing candidates that can respond to our clients’ needs without sacrificing competencies and expertise.

Global Partner Program

6

A strategic initiative designed to build sustainable partnerships that empower underrepresented talents in the fashion industry. Inspired by successful models like the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) but tailored to the unique needs of emerging under represented creatives within the Italian space, this program ensures long-term impact through collaboration, innovation, and accessibility.
